NEW STEERING & CONTROLS PRODUCT LINE
Alabaster, AL (July 2023) Engineered Marine Products (EMP) officially announced at the NMDA STEP Conference in Chicago that are introducing a new line of marine steering and control products.
“At EMP we take immense pride in the quality parts and our new steering and controls product offering is held to these same exacting standards. Our initial launch in this category includes 92 parts numbers covering hydraulic and mechanical steering, control cables and all the related components that have all received ABYC certifications and are NMMA Type Accepted through our partners QM Group”, said Jim Self, President of EMP.
- In hydraulic steering we offer 3 kits covering up to 350 horsepower in a single engine applications. Our hydraulic helms feature an industry best 7 piston design for smooth and precise operation and are designed retrofit into existing hole patterns. Our OC-350 Hydraulic Cylinder has the largest cc displacement in its class, no grounding straps required, and easy intuitive installation for all installers.
- Our new Steerlyte power assist hydraulic system that is a game changer! This system eliminates the need to mount a separate hydraulic pump making rigging a breeze and saving valuable space in your boat. It is also 100% silent and makes your boat steer as easily as your car.
- The EMP mechanical steering system features a planetary rotary helm design for uniform distribution of torque, longer life, higher efficiency, and lower feedback and is rated for up to 150hp applications. These systems use our Edge Easy Connect Steering Cables that are fully compatible with other name brand systems but have a best in class 7.9-inch minimum bend radius and provide significantly greater efficiency from our low-friction materials and construction.
- The new innovative EMP Stick Steering system utilizes a standard steering cable and full rotary style helm for better control with less effort.
- EMP Edge Series Engine Control Cables feature a tighter minimum bend radius, and significantly greater efficiency with coverage for a wide range of engine brands.
- Our hydraulic steering hoses elevate the standard for performance, longevity, and versatility. EMP hydraulic hoses feature Factory Swaged Nichol Plated Fittings and a 1500 PSI rating at the price of other 1000 PSI hoses.
